Sauder Gives Back is about building community-minded businesses leaders for the future.
We get involved in the community as a way to pay forward our own privilege, as well as learn about and from our community members. While we focus most on causes related to mental health, environment and sustainability, and poverty alleviation, we are here to empower our classmates to create impact in areas they are passionate about.
Together, Jess & Jess aim to shape and tell the stories of impact their cohort hopes to have.
Co-President: Jessica Jenkins
Jess Jenkins was born and raised in Ontario but now a Vancouver local. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and career background in corporate responsibility consulting, social impact has always been a motivating force for her. Jess believes that “with great power comes great responsibility,” and that companies should wield their power responsibly. Jess is particularly passionate about women empowerment, and has volunteered with organizations like WEDU, mentoring young women leaders in developing countries. Beyond work and impact, Jess loves to do as Vancouverites do: hike, yoga, eat, and travel.
Co-President: Jessica McDonald
Jess McDonald, born and raised in Montreal, brings her passion for community and innovation to everything she does. With a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing) and a professional background in product management, Jess thrives at the intersection of strategy and creativity. Outside of work and volunteering, Jess finds joy in staying active through volleyball and tennis, exploring new destinations, and diving into a great book.
