President: Alexander Wong

Alexander Wong is a seasoned business professional with a background in medical research and consulting. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he moved to Vancouver in 2015 to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Marketing from the UBC Sauder School of Business. During his career, he consulted for and sold projects to some of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies and medical guideline organizations. Seeking to further expand his strategic business expertise and leadership capabilities, Alexander returned to his alma mater to pursue an MBA at UBC Sauder.

Outside his professional endeavors, Alexander values family, cultural diversity, and personal growth. With his cross-cultural upbringing as half-Chinese and half-German, he brings a global mindset to his leadership approach. His vision as MBA Society President is to strengthen community bonds, drive student-led initiatives, and inspire his peers to make a lasting impact both within the program and in their future careers.


VP Academics: Skylar Kylstra

Skylar Kylstra is the Vice President of Academics for the UBC MBA Society, bringing her experience in sustainability, climate solutions, and academia. Prior to starting the MBA, she most recently worked as a Senior Analyst at Ostrom Climate Solutions, where she designed large-scale land-use carbon projects and developed financial and carbon models to drive climate impact. With a Master of Land and Water Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Global Resource Systems from UBC, she has contributed to innovative projects in carbon markets and sustainability while being involved in community projects.

Being raised in Washington State, Skylar has always been inspired by the natural world and the importance of sustainable living. A passionate advocate for environmental and social change, she has represented youth at two UN Climate Change Conferences, advocating for stronger climate commitments. Her career is defined by a dedication to bridging science, policy, and business to create meaningful global impact. Through her role as VP Academics, she is committed to enhancing the MBA academic experience, fostering collaboration, and strengthening the program for her cohort and future students.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Skylar finds balance through pilates, which she credits for keeping her grounded and focused. A travel enthusiast, she has visited 30 countries and counting, always eager to immerse herself in new cultures and landscapes. Whether snowboarding on the slopes, planning her next adventure, or enjoying meaningful conversations, she thrives on connecting with people and exploring the world’s endless opportunities for growth and discovery.


VP Communication: Srihari Easwaran

Meet Srihari, a connector of people, ideas, and opportunities. Born into the rich heritage of India and raised in the dynamic city of Dubai, Srihari grew up at the intersection of East meets West. Living in such a vibrant cultural hub has allowed him to meet people from all walks of life, giving him the ability to connect deeply and build meaningful relationships with anyone, anywhere.

Professionally, Srihari has worked in collaboration with globally renowned brands like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Adidas, where he played a pivotal role in managing their of supply chain operations, finance, and strategy. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the UK and an ACCA qualification, he combines technical expertise with a global perspective to drive impactful outcomes.

Outside of work, Srihari’s passions take him off the beaten path—literally. A car enthusiast with a love for classic vehicles and 4x4s, he finds joy in off-roading adventures in the deserts of Dubai, often sharing these moments with friends and family. His family remains his greatest support system and an integral part of his life. Now in Canada, Srihari continues to embrace his love for the outdoors while immersing himself in new landscapes and experiences.

As VP Communications for his MBA cohort, Srihari is excited to channel his passion for storytelling and relationship-building to foster meaningful connections and create unforgettable moments.


VP Events: Neel Duttaroy

Neel has collected degrees like Pokémon cards—starting with a Bachelor’s in Commerce, leveling up with a Master’s in Politics and International Relations, and now chasing an MBA at UBC Sauder. Before hopping over to Vancouver, he was busy making waves in India, diving into education and policymaking, collaborating with governments on large-scale education projects, and mentoring early-stage non-profit entrepreneurs like a real-life Yoda.

Having lived in 8 cities in under 30 years, Neel is basically a walking, talking UNESCO cultural site. With cross-cultural and multilingual superpowers, he’s the ultimate vibe-setter, creating spaces where everyone feels at home—whether it’s a classroom, boardroom, or a dance floor.

When he’s not conjuring up ideas to build communities or catching up on MBA-deprived sleep, you’ll find Neel glued to F1 races, dissecting political trends, or crunching election results like a human Excel sheet. His mission? To make life at UBC as colorful and dynamic as his personality—one quirky event or adventure at a time.


VP External: Tony Todorova

Tony is excited to serve her cohort as VP External of the MBA Society. Given her professional journey spanning non-profit sector and academic research, she is a natural bridge-builder. She is at her best when she’s able to forge new connections. She constantly seeks to blur the line between disciplines: bringing in her previous training in the sciences and humanities to the business world and vice versa.

Professionally, she has dedicated years to advancing research, health promotion and equity-focused initiatives. This has inspired a career pivot toward business where she’s focused building financial acumen and learning how to drive momentum for the causes that she loves. Her journey is defined by a commitment to meaningful impact and creating spaces where others can thrive. As VP External, she champions inclusivity and connection, ensuring their classmates are seen, supported, and celebrated. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, building up her CD collection, hiking Vancouver’s breathtaking trails, and kayaking.



VP Finance: Darren Li

Darren is a full-stack finance professional with 5 years experience in quantitative finance and investment banking. Excited by the intersection of finance and technology, Darren is eager to drive impactful solutions in the investment world and collaborate on innovative opportunities.

But Darren isn’t all spreadsheets and algorithms—he’s a former biochem researcher and an adventurous foodie. From experimenting with science and technologies to exploring Vancouver’s culinary scene, he embodies a spirit of curiosity and innovation. When not crunching numbers, you’ll find him hiking, skiing, or connecting with friends over a great meal.

With a passion for fostering collaboration and elevating student initiatives, Darren brings both expertise and enthusiasm to his VP Finance role. Whether it’s navigating budgets or hiking trails, he’s always ready for the next challenge!


VP Internal: Rex Sun

Rex is excited to bring energy and enthusiasm to the UBC MBA Society as VP Internal, where he’s committed to creating a connected and vibrant community for everyone. With years of experience in leadership and strategy, Rex thrives on solving challenges and fostering collaboration.

Beyond the boardroom, Rex is an adventurer at heart. He’s traveled to more than two dozen countries, embracing new cultures, cuisines, and perspectives at every stop. From savoring croissants in France to enjoying tapas in Spain, strolling through temples in Japan to exploring the serene beauty of Sri Lanka, Rex believes the best part of traveling is the people he meets along the way.

An avid skier and self-proclaimed winter sports enthusiast, Rex has already conquered over 200 kilometers on Whistler’s stunning slopes this season! Whether he’s sharing tips as a ski coach or carving new paths down the mountain, Rex is always up for an adventure.

Gillian brings a wealth of experience across diverse industries, including retail, fashion, entrepreneurship, and real estate. Driven by a commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, and empowering others, she cultivates a leadership style and decision-making approach focused on creating environments that inspire meaningful change.

Outside of her professional and academic commitments, she loves working on her golf game, running, and traveling, finding inspiration and relaxation through exploring new cultures and landscapes. As a foodie, she also enjoys discovering unique flavours and cuisines, which fuel her curiosity and appreciation for diversity.
