The EDIA Council serves as the voice of students at UBC Sauder, committed to fostering an environment where equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility are fundamental. Through ongoing engagement with departments and students, we work to remove barriers and ensure that everyone feels valued, represented and heard. Research shows that organizations that prioritize gender diversity outperform competitors by 15%, and those committed to ethnic diversity achieve a 35% edge. Additionally, accessibility and inclusive practices can boost innovation by up to 85%, creating a stronger, more resilient community. By championing EDIA principles, we aim to enhance our competitive advantage and empower students in their professional journeys.
